Teens

Becoming Yourself

Teenage and young adulthood is a time of glorious expansion into yourself.

It can also be a time of acute distress, whether that means struggling with separating from ones family, a feeling being lost, unmoored or empty, a lack of confidence in ones self as responsibilities mount, or many other possible implications of this important transition. For some, taking possession of themselves means beginning to confront childhood trauma in a way that allows new means of both self-destruction and hope.

Therapy can have a special impact in this formative time of life. I strive to meet teenagers and young adults where they are with truth and compassion, helping them discover who they are and where they would like to go.
